It does not necessarily have to be a windscreen cover. An old rug or even a big piece of cardboard also serves its purpose.

Better you mix the spray yourself. This is easier than you think at first, and this mixture will clear the slices in no time. In addition, it is environmentally friendly and your wallet is also happy.

1. In a spray bottle, mix antifreeze for the slices with water in a ratio of 2: 1 (2 parts antifreeze and 1 part water)
2. Then spray the mixture onto the glass and peel off the ice with the rubber lip of an ice scraper.

Alternatively, you can also use cleaning alcohol, ie isopropyl alcohol, instead of the antifreeze. The mixture should be prepared in the same ratio 2: 1.

The trick with the self-mixed de-icer spray is the higher alcohol . Alcohol does not freeze as fast as water, which keeps the glass free after spraying.

Sheathing disks from the inside

It is not uncommon for the discs to freeze from the inside. Especially with older car models and poorly insulated vehicles, this is part of the annoying everyday routine. Of course, there are also ways to counteract this circumstance a little.

1. Avoid wetness in the car:

• Tap snow off your shoes as much as possible,
• store wet gloves and caps better in the trunk,
• remove wet doormats from the car and let them dry while warm
